For my parents, I'd like to create a HTPC system. They have some space on the place where the videorecorder sits now, which is about 41cm in width and 50cm in length. Furthermore, the HTPC needs to connect to a decoder and needs a wireless lan card to connect to the internet.
My question is: what case should I buy? Most mATX cases are about 40cm deep, leaving no room for the cables. A mini-ITX case seems like a good idea, but I think it's very expensive (my budget is about 500 euro), and I don't know if there is room for a wireless card and a card that is able to connect to the decoder. Is there an mATX case available that is wide, though not more than 35 cm's deep?
