    I have a strange problem with the small video area in the lower left corner. Whenever I exit TV or the Video Player respectively, it fades to black. It displays the video and immediately fades to black and stays that way, although sometimes the video flickers through. I don't know if this began to happen after my change to Catalyst 8.3 and PowerDVD 8 (I remember seeing the video in the small area during testings after the switch).

    I attached the full debug information created by the MediaPortal test tool, if that is of help.

    Same thing still happens with RC1, on a completely new Windows XP installation :(

    Any thoughts on this? I just noticed, that the video stays in the small area when viewing the EPG, but fades to black in every other section.

    Could be related, yes. I can reproduce the same issue, since the TV Guide is the only section, where the small video overlay works.

    Out of curiosity:
    When TV is of, try going from (Basic) Home to TV Guide (EPG). If I do this, then the miniview is all black and I get no sound. Is this the case for you to?

    Err, do you mean TV off or on now? :)

    I can't test it right now, I am away again from my HTPC, but I'll do that as soon as I can. But usually the video just fades to black, while the sound can still be heard.

    In: Basic Home and TV off ---[press TV guide] ---> EPG shows (but no preview/miniview here)

    Also a problem when:
    TV on --> My recordings
    Result: Miniview OK when browsing/highlighting right menu (view type etc.) - miniview black when browsing/highlighting list of recordings.

    Just wanna be sure this is one problem I'm having and it is the same for everyone. :)

    I have the same Issue when using PowerDVD codec. When I use MPV it works flawless.

    This seems a little bit better now with the newest SVN version (nothing else has changed on the ATi systems). It's now working in the main menu and in the games section ("Sonstiges"). It's still working in the TV guide, but the overlay problem is still present. It's not working in any other main menu item (Radio, Pictures, etc.) and it's also not working, when you view the details of a program in the TV guide.
