I believe that this is an ATi-bug. You will see that the behaviour is better using Cat. 8.12. Also, it seems that skins like Indigo are more "ATi-friendly" than ie Blue3.

Not on 8.12 so far due to newly implemented problems.
However I can confirm that the problem does not exist with X-FACE whereas Blue3 wide is affected.
