Synopsis: The SMS Input Control doesn't allow entry of keys globally mapped to specific commands e.g. space (=Pause) etc
The keys may be able to be entered using the remote, but on my non-remote development desktop, this is not an option.
For example, "hello world" comes out as something like "heowld"
The only global keys that should remain mapped to their global meaning should probably be ESC to close the current window, and Enter to terminate the line of input.
