Most movies work, but some don't play, and I'm returned after a second of blankness to the MP interface. The files in question do work in both Media Player Classic and Media Player, so I wouldn't have though that Codecs was the problem. Any help would be much appreciated.

My logs are attached.

Is there anything special about the files that do not play, which codecs are you using, anything with subtitles, if so disable the autoload vsfilter in haale.

More info please, tell us what you have done.

    The codecs appear pretty standard.

    Video: DivX 5 560x296 23.98fps 753Kbps [Video 0]
Audio: MPEG Audio Layer 3 48000Hz stereo 112Kbps [Audio 1]

There's no subtitles, and only one audio track. I've disabled the autoloading of VSFilter. I'm not sure what other information you need, and I don't know what else to try. :)

Are you using the actual Divx codec, if so more than half of my video's will not play either, so i just found out, after trying it.

I am really lazy over codecs and just install the Vista Codec Pack by shark007 (ignore name), that should allow you to play most videos in MP and gives you a easily configurable choice between dxva codecs (MPC based hardware acceleration) and latest builds of FFDShow\Xvid software decoding codecs.

To get any files playing correctly with mono audio, in ffdshow audio config\codecs, you need to change the MP1\MP2 to use libavcodec instead of libmad, click on it and change in drop down box and save.
