Since I updated to 1.1.0 beta, I'm having this same problem on both my machines. I'm using StreamedMP, but it happens with Blue3Wide too.

Some of the dialogs stop appearing/working. Mainly - if in the TV Guide, "OK"ing on a program normally brings up the box asking if I want to View the channel etc, but nothing happens. I get the "click" noise, but nothing happens. Likewise, picking "TV On" in the TV screen does nothing. Other screens still work.
The upstairs PC is set to show the windows Shutdown options menu when I click the power button, and when the problem occurs, this also stops working.

The upstairs PC has something helpful in the logs I think - see below - but oddly this doesn't show on the downstairs logs? The only way to fix the issue is to reboot- simply restarting MP doesn't help.

It's a weird message as it's saying it cannot cast to the same type - the only difference is the paths - A shows the "full" path, B shows the 'dos' style path...?

    Help!

Just "bump"-ing this, see if any new readers have any bright ideas.

It's still happening on both machines - seems to only happen since installing 4TR though - have posted there also linky

I've been doing a little more reading on this, and I found the following: Suzanne Cook's .NET CLR Notes : LoadFile vs. LoadFrom.
This seems to indicate there are different ways that DLLs can be loaded, and was found in reference to a similar problem (albeit in a different application) here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/777888/reflection-and-casting.

Is it possible that the 4TR plugin loads or references the DLL differently to the rest of MP? I'm still not sure why it would only start happening once MP has been restarted of course.

I'll also see if I can come up with a concrete way of replicating it (it will often occur simply after restarting MP rather than it crashing)

I've also downloaded the MP source to see if I can spot anything myself - although it won't build due to some plugin project bits missing? But if it *is* a 4TR plugin problem I don't have the code for that to see any differences.

I get this same problem when using the tv plugin (don't use 4tr though). Anyone have any info on this? I will provide my logs if necessary, but they look exactl like the ones already posted.

Lol, I get this also, but only in MyTV and Moving Pictures. Mine will be scrolling through a list of 10 films and it will just stop, I can hear the GUI clicking with button pushes but nothing happens and I have to restart MP.

Happens so oftern I programmed Girder to close and open MP with one push!

Same here... I see posts regarding this exact issue going all the way back to Dec 08. Maybe the devs could look a little harder into this, cause honestly, getting errors like this makes me wanna ditch MP due to the frustration...

This is what I get in the logs:

Please provide full logs and exact steps how to reproduce. RC2 is currently having some work on done on the area that might fix such issues, but only testing RC2 will tell.
