I think you can build a MP system for 500€ so don't say it's heavy, it's just a modern application build for the current technologies and future proof.

You haven't got the point, I have configuration fast enough, but many people told me that MP is heavy and I agree with them. Personally I like and use MP but some application do same things faster and lighter.
Don't understand me wrong, I really appreciate developers hard work. I just want to say that MP can get more users if make it less heavy.

    Hi Zeljko,

..yes, you right. MP must be a little bit faster.

But Frodo is working on it with compress stuff for gfx, so i think in next future it will be much faster. ;)

    Greetings Harley :)

It works pretty well for me on a p4 1.3 GHz, 512 Mb of Ram, and a geforce 6600 (~$100). That's about as light as you can get on specs. There are occasional slow downs when updating a database, but other than that its been pretty solid (I'm using the svns)

Yes, but not all MP can do, thats part of its "top Heaviness"

Also since animations crept in, a big slow down in going from various screens, and thats with a high spec PC using my fav skin PM111 of course.

Hopefully Frodo can get the very best out of .net2 which is the limiting factor and everything has to be done to accomodate it.

I'm all for faster, sleeker and better, always sounds good in anyones book.

For example, when we go in music or video we must wait too long for display listing... We all know where are slow problems, and I'm glad that developers are working on them.
