I had RC2 up and running quite happily on my Vista x64 machine (had had previous versions installed before). I have just reinstalled on same machine back to 32 bit Vista Ultimate so is a clean install with basically only patches applied.

The TV Server is on a XP machine on the network and I have setup the config app to point at that machine (by IP addrses) but if I try to go into myTV it just hangs until I kill it (again nothing odd in logs)

I have tried different codecs for TV and lots of other changes but can't get it to work at all.

I initially thought it could be a firewall issue but I have disabled firewalls on both server and client but still same issue.

I can get the TV Guide up so I must be connecting to server? But it just bombs out when I try and start TV, any ideas????

This was all working before so is there anything that previous versions did that has been missed off in RC1 ?

On my old install I went through 0.2.3 then RC1 and finally RC2.
When I rebuilt I only installed RC2 and it did not work so was wondering whether the installer for RC1 or 0.2.3 had set something to get it to work that the RC2 installed wasn't.

I have it working and it appeared to be a firewall issue but I am fairly sure I did not have to go through this previously. (same firewall on both setups)
