Hi,

How does the "Date Added"-field gets it values? If it's based on the file-attributes (like when it was created and/or last edited), it could often give wrong numbers. Those attributes tend to get corrupted when moving files, reformatting the system, etc.

Wouldn't it be better to add an option so that you can choose whether to use the file-attributes or fetch the time code for when the movie is actually stored in the database?

Currently it uses the modified date on the file. We are considering adding an option to instead go by the date the movie was actually added to the database though. Basically we realize there is some confusion around the issue and we are planning to go back to it and review how we are doing things. Take a peek at the thread though and if you have something to add, feel free to post over there, and we will take it into consideration when reviewing the existing system.

Ah I was wondering why this didn't work as I had though it should... Makes sense now, hopefully it's changed to reflect the date it was added to the database.
