Yes it's personal and yes it's difficult to satisfy everyones needs ... but ... that's no reason why given the possibility to manually adjust these settings MovingPictures can't support the user by trying to automatically group on the basis of online data sources.
And the point of many people not using imdb is irelevant imo because most of them surely are and for the ones that aren't ... automatic grouping won't work so nothing changes for them.

Some more thoughts on this topic:
- The user should be able to switch off automatic grouping
- Every movie should have an option in config and GUI to ungroup movie / add movie to group x
- Movie groups should have same infos as movie (artwork, description, etc.)
- Imdb only contains "relations" (followed by, follows)
- themoviedb.org has "collections", which group a series of movies. Each collection has it's own description/name/artwork. tthis is not yet accessible via the api.
