MediaPortal Version: 0.2.2 Windows Version: Vista Ultimate 64 bit CPU Type: AMD 4200+ X2 HDD: 320GB Western Digital 16MB Cache SATAII Memory: 2048MB Corsair 800Mhz Motherboard: ASUS M2V-TVM Motherboard Chipset: VIA K8M890+VT8237R Video Card: Onboard S3 Unichrome Video Card Driver: The lastest one from the VIA site. Sound Card: Onboard AC'97 Remote: MCE Remote v2 I am using Vista Ultimate 64 and found media centre just didn't do all the things I wanted. I had previously installed Media Portal on my laptop and I loved it. The very first thing I did on Vista was try to install just the basic codecs that I would need. One at a time I looked at each of my videos with gspot and installed the latest versions of the necesary codec but no matter what I did I couldn't get any video to play in either 64bit or 32bit media player. The next thing I did was search for vista codecs and came accross "Vista Codec Package v4.2.9" and "x64Components v1.0.3". Straight away I could play all my movies without a problem in Media Player and Media Centre. But when I try and play anything in Media Portal the sound plays but the video is blank. I have tried every thing I can think of and I'm really desperate to start using it again so I don't have to get my fat ass off the couch.
