I have a CRT TV plus a video projector. TV naturally has integrated speakers, and in addition I have home theather receiver.

I would like to be able to use both output methods at the same time:

    - Analog sound to TV & picture to TV (interlaced PAL mode, I will use a VGA->scart adapter)
    - Digital SPDIF sound to amplifier + VGA to projector (960x540 / 50 Hz)

Is there a way to do it? I've studied this subject now for hours, but haven't found a definite answer so far.

On the display side, I've understood that it might be achievable with a tool like UltraMon. Is this correct or are there better ways to enable it?

What comes to audio, I've heard that an infinite pin tee directshow filter could be of use but I have not seen any examples how to utilize it in practice.

The only way to do this on an ATI card is to use clone mode.

I have an old ati 9500
It has DVI and VGA out.

    DVI is connected to PJ.
VGA is connected to TV CRT (not scart, but VGA just like a monitor).

Now, u need to set the resolution and refresh rate.
In my case it is 1280x720 @ 50 hz.
No tearing in any of the screens.
Also my PJ is natively using 1280x720, so this seems optimal in my case.

u cant use independent refresh rates or screen res while using clone mode.

So in most cases one of your devices will not run in its native resolution.
u have to choose which one to honour.

It's even worse if u try to connect to an old scart CRT tv. ATI only supports 1024x768, 800x600 at TV output.
u cant connect 1280x720 using tv out, at least Ive never succeeded.

I am currently still using integrated display adapter of my mobo (GeForce 6150SE which seems to be bit underpowered for MP) and viewing picture only on the projector => one of my selection criterias for the adapter is this feature.
