Hi, and congratulations for this forum.

I don't know if this question is solved.

The question is the sound of my mp3. I have connected the HTPC to A / V receiver for a digital output (SPDIF), and this is responsible for the processing of audio. When I play movies i can hear everything perfect (through the A / V receiver). But if I want to hear music and to proccess the sound directly by the receiver (SPDIF passthrough), i can not, and the quality is worse.

I do not know if it's a problem of my sistem codecs, I think not, because if I use Media Player Classic to hear my mp3 everything is perfect: my reciver A/V process the sound, and the quality is very good.

To sum up: I would like to send the sound of my mp3 files from the MediaPortal to thel A / V receiver so the last one proccess the sound.

I use AC3filter.

Thank you very much.

Hi,

Well the question is now another. If I want to hear Dolby I should encode the LPCM, how to do it with Mediaportal?, This is the new question.

I can encode the LPCM with Mediaplayer Classic, but there is no way with the Mediaportal.

When the interlanl flter of Mediaplayer Classic is active LPCM and I play a mp3, my reciver A/V join Dolby and the sound is very good.

If you know the way to encode LPCM with the Mediaportal... tell me plaese :D .

See you
