hi guys, i have a few mkv movies which have a resolution of 720p. i have 6 of those where only 1 movie at the moment does not want to run. it runs perfectly with windows media player but when i run in mediaportal (i use the default MP player) it goes to the desktop for 1 second and then gets back to the MP video menue. my aother 5 mkv 720p movies run perfectly with MP but only this movie appears to be running with wmp only (i dont have powerdvd)

what might be the problem?

best,

Kian

Not much to go on here, but is there perhaps subtitles on this file only?

If so: Make sure you got VSFilter/VobSub and have set Haali options -> comp. -> autoload VSFilter = yes

Try using the Vista codec pack, allows easy change between haali media splitter and Gabests splitter, as some older files will not play with haali.

Possibly this is a filetype not associated with MP, if you use gspot to open file, what codecs are used.

Run filmerit and see if you have any filter errors.
