Hey all.

I am currently in the planning process of my new media pc system.

First of all let me explain what I want to do with this system, this system is going to go in my bedroom so it MUST be quite and use as little power as possible as I already have enough servers running 24/7 and it’s costing me a fortune in power.

I must be able to watch and record digital freeview tv so I would assume that 2 tv cards are needed.

Specification:

Case: Antec Black Overture II Quiet Media Case
Motherboard: AOpen i915GMM-HFS Motherboard MicroATX
Processor: Intel Pentium M 750 1.86GHz UFCPGA 533FSB 2Mb Cache
Memory: Corsair (VS512MB533D2), 1024MB, DDR2, PC4200, 533MHz
Hard Drive: Maxtor 6L200M0 Diamond Max 10 200GB 7200RPM SATA/150 8MB
Keyboard and mouse: Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop USB - OEM
Mini LCD: iMON VFD Black (5.25" bay)
TV Card’s: Hauppauge WinTV-Nova-t PCI Freeview DVB Radio / Remote control / And Doubles as a PC Video Recorder
DVD Drive: LG GSA-4167BAL 16x DVD±RW Dual Layer Internal IDE
TFT Screen: Acer AL2671W HDTV 26" Silver LCD TV

The AOPEN motherboard has DVI out, so I was going to connect my TV to the onboard DVI port for viewing movies and DIVX films in HDTV.

Is there anything I have missed? Or any recommendations what so ever?

Thanks all

How much you reckon that lot will set u back?

With the 26 TFT/TV excluding VAT £1,182.98 acording to my spreadsheet, but that is going up and down as i change hardware.

Have tried MB with VGA onboard and can not recomend you to use it..
Shared memory seens to always find conflict with application and the system...
