speed issues with other threads (1 Viewer)

HDD: 80gb
Memory: 2gb
Video Card: intel 82865g
Video Card Driver: Latest


Hi all

I am having a problem with my htpc.

Basically it runs very slow while displaying the tv guide AND a moving picture (Tv, video etc) unless I use the simple mp skin, problem with that is that its very old and very buggy when rewinding/fastfowarding + channel tuning. I run a server on a different machine and the client is just this one.

Any ideas how I can get around this slowness issue?

Get a faster graphics-card...it makes a huge difference in performance.

The problem is that its an optiplex sx270, no space for a graphics card

Then you are really stuffed, the older intel gpu's just did not handle dx9 anywhere near as well as ATI or Nvidia's cards, which MP requires.
