Splitted MKV-movies (CD1 and CD2 etc.) not playing correctly (1 Viewer)

I just discoverd that Mkv-movies that are separated into two parts, for ex.
Lord Of The Rings CD1.mkv
Lord Of The Rings CD2.mkv

does not work, or, the first part works great but the second won´t start at all. When I´m looking at the movie in the MovingPictures settings it says that both "CD:s" is assigned to the title.

.Avi-files however seemes to work great, when the first cd is done, the other one starts. But when MKV, the movie just stops.

I don´t know if this goes for all MKV:s and AVI:s, but the once I have have this issue.

Are you using an external player?

Nope, I´m using the internal. With ffdshow coded for mpeg2/avi and CoreAV for MKV.

Hrmm... AVIs and MKVs are handled the exact same way. Can you confirm you are getting this behavior with other pairs of MKV movies and not just the one you listed?

My bad if that is indeed the case.
My english is somewhat a bit limited I guess.

Anyway, back to topic.
fforde, I don´t have any other mkv-files that is separated (?) in two.
However, I tried changing the CoreACV coded to ffdshow and then the file seemed to work just fine.
And since I really can´t see any difference in the quality the diffrent codecs provide I might as well stick to ffdshow.

I will althou try with another MKV-file and the CoreAVC codec as soon as I get on hold of one.

you can always paste the two splitted files together using mkvmerge and the append function.

Work's perfectly and is done withing minutes (depends on your filesizes and HDD speed)

That's what I did too, just combined them with mkvmerge. It's quick and easy and was better than finding some work around. now all my files are the same!

Try naming files as follows:-
Lord Of The Rings 1of2.mkv
Lord Of The Rings 2of2.mkv
this usually works for me and is also the same for music CD's
