SQL Server 2012 with MEPO 1.2.3? (1 Viewer)

Hello everyone,

I'm setting up a new HTPC and installing the latest MEPO 1.2.3. I want to use SQL Server and wondered if anyone has tried using the 2012 SQL Server?

Can I just copy the install instructions for 2008 SP1 located here, but change the name to 2012?

you can do it with 2012 express on the same way.

Step 7 : set SQL Server Browser to automatic
Step 8 : Mixed Mode and SA Passwort ( your choise )

Thanks for the help. Seems simple enough.

Can you tell me the difference between Mixed Mode and windows authentication mode? Is there a reason that I want the Mixed Mode?

Sorry i can not give an possible answer. But with Mixed Mode everything is fine

What advantage or improvement is to be gained by using SQL Server 2012 Express instead of SQL Server 2008 Express?
