Whenever I press start import the config will pop up the following error "Failed to locate assembly "ICSharpCode.SharpzipLib" (full error in picture)

The program itself runs fine in mediaplayer and I can see/play my tv shows. It just will not let me import any pictures or anything from the config portion. Anyone have any points to help me get this fixed?

Sorry for the bump, but this thread exactly describes my problem so no need for a new thread imo.

I am running the latest MyTVseries (from 29 oct), Mediaportal 1.0.2 on Windows XP SP3 x86. The error occurs at the *** Get Episodes *** part and pressing OK kills the configuration screen alltogether. I've tried replacing the dll from the link provided above and from a fresh 1.0.2 install on another computer. Nothing helps.
How can I solve this?

Zinu, maybe the problem is related to the .NET framework you have installed on your system.

Try updating to the latest stable version, being .NET v3.5 @ .NET Framework Developer Center

Everything works fine here with "ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll" in the MediaPortal ProgramFiles folder being version 0.85.5.0.

I already have the latest .net Framework, so that's not it. The issue actually came out of the blue, it all worked great before. I thought it was related to thetvdb.com being down a few days ago, but now it's back up and I still have the problem.

And since I've tried all kinds of dll's I don't think that's it either.

In an addition to the above: New episodes I add do get added in the database, just without any info. So the episode name is like '9. HDTV CTU' for example, no info, no image, nothing else.

EDIT: I just noticed something strange. The .dll in my Mediaportal folder is 0.85.5.452, but in the error it says 'Version=0.84.0.0'. What can this mean?

Do a system wide scan on "ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll" perhaps you have a duplicate in a folder that is taken at a higher priority, for example in C:\Windows\System32

So the log files eleborate on nothing extra? How about launching MediaPortal in debug mode?

Embed the log files on your reply, they might explain it.

There isn't any crashing when I import within MP. The entries get added, just no info is downloaded.
Just when I import through the configuration I get this error. Is there any way to create log files from the configuration?

Everytime I start the Configuration, then a Configuration.log file is created, and the moment I start the MP-TVSeries plugin it also creates MP-TVSeries.log file for me.

    XP = %AllUsersProfile%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\log
    Vista/Win7 = %ProgramData%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\log

Inside the Configuration you also have an easy way to go to this location via the top left drop down menu.

It helps to first purge all the files inside the log folder and then recreate the problem in as few steps as possible. That way the log files are easier to analyze.
