Hi! I'm great ffdshow fan and I prefer to use it to decode everything:

I'm using latest ffdshow tryouts

Every time I'm starting video playback using MediaPortal internal player flip video option in ffdshow is inverted

For example let's uncheck it, then start playback. And volia - it's checked and output video is fliped! Let's stop playback and start it again (or just select different file) - volia, it's unchecked again

In other DirectShow-based multimedia players everything is fine. I've checked it into
1) Windows Media Player 6.4 (Start->Run->mplayer2)
2) Media Player Classic
3) Light Allow
4) GOM PLayer

Every time (except GOM player, wich add some internal filters) I got 100% same filtergraph (checked twice):
[Haali Splitter]->[ffdshow video decoder]->[renderer] for video part and
[Haali Splitter]->[ffdshow audio decoder]->[reclock] for audio part

Disabling reclock doesn't help.

PLEASE, HELP!

I do believe in this case you are going to find better help with your post on the doom9 forums.

I get this happening if i use the down arrow button on my remote\keyboard, it is a FFDShow reaction to this keypress.

Pain in the ass, i just have to remember not to press up\down accidentally whilst playing video, or the next video is flipped.

If you right click on the ffdshow icon whilst not in fullscreen and video playing, you will see the menu with flip video in it, this must be the shortcut to enable, wish you had the option to turn it off altogether.

    Hmmmm....
Actually I have ffdshow shotcuts disabled.

And F key doesn't match up/down key. And even I change F key to any another key problem still exists.

And, actually, I do not understand how to use MP without up/down keys

Actually You does'nt even need to press UP/DOWN
    bugwb6.jpg

Just stay on one movie and press ENTER to start playback. Then press ESC during playback and press ENTER again. Then press ESC during playback and press ENTER again. Then press ESC during playback and press ENTER again. Then press ESC during playback and press ENTER again.... etc...

You even doesn't need to press any keys
Use dbl-click to start playback. Use right-click + previous window instead ESC.

    checked SVN version
this bug still exists in MediaPortal-svn--02-22-2008--05-04-Rev17454.exe

maybe MP broadcast some magic WM_XXX message for it's own needs and independend message with same code are in ffdshow (occurs message number collision)?

    PROBLEM SOLVED
    JUST UNCHECK THIS CHECKBOX!

Glad it was not MP causing the problem
No, I think it's MP feture (not bug but feature). This checkbox causes fictive subtitles and audiostreams in splitter menu. And only MP performs automatic first subtitle selection every time playback start (Flip is first "subtitle")

No wonder i've never seen this, just do not use subtitles.

Still cannot see a use for Flip though.
