I had a few issues with stuttering and stuff (usual initial issues you get with MePo).
But after a few tweaks and changes, it all works great
One thing I could not get working (even over gigabit wired LAN) is smooth playback using RTSP (weird when I can on my other clients). I was getting continuity errors with TSReader. I did try one or two of Tony's modified versions (didnt try them all) but no joy, so I switched to UNC and it works great.
I'm now streaming over wifi (even 1080i and 1080p) with no issues.
The APU even copes with IFC running (where my ION2 couldnt)
Overall I'm really impressed.

ps - One thing I forgot to mention, I can not get the remote to work properly (usual issue with MCE clone remotes - some buttons work, some dont).
Hi there - I'm really interested in this case. Love the simple clean lines.
Tell me, what sort of heat is generated? From my calcs it shouldn't be much with a 150W PSU and the CPU drawing 65W at MAX. I see from the photos that you use it with a SSD which is sensible. would be curious to know the temp after watching a 1080p MKV after say 20 minutes...
I have now switched to wired network (the wireless would work for 99% of the time, but glitched everso often)
I gave up trying to get the internal/supplied remote working, I have switched to using a MS remote/receiver (which I have mounted internally).
I will check some temps for you ... I will try it with 1080p and 1080i.
I actually have the unit mounted on its end...with the "hot" heatsink (ones with the heatpipes) at the top, and the PSU inside the case at the bottom - Unconvention/non-standard but it fits in a gap between my wardrobe and the wall (one reason I wanted this type of case).
Hi Jay
I just got an FC8. Same issue with that remote. I can't really get excited about fixing a remote so am going to get another one too.
Which one did you get? Was there one that mounts onto the internal IR screwholes? I'd quite like to use the front IR window as it's out in the open unlike the zotac in the bedroom, where an external radio based usb provides better zapping angles.
Cheers
Ben
