Stuttering CD playback (2 Viewers)

Hi All,

I reported this issue in the "General Support" section but maybe this is the most proper place to ask for help.

The issue is quite simple: while playing music from an audio CD the sound is stuttering...I have no issues at all while playing files (ALAC format) from the HD. The stuttering seems due to a continuous read/write on the SSD (on wich I have installed Wondows 7 as OS). I really didn't figured out any solution to this problem...please note the CD playback outside MP does not present any issue (there are still write/read operations on the SSD but in a very smooth way that doesn't couse any problem).

May be is useful to know that in MP I'm using BASS player with WASAPI in exclusive mode.

Any suggestion is more than welcome! Thanks in advance!

In the meanwhile please find hereafter my HTPC configuration:

- MadiaPortal: 1.5.0
- OS: Windows 7 Professional 64bit
- Motherboard: Asrock A75M
- CPU: AMD APU A6-3500
- RAM: 2x2GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600MHz Dual Channel
- SSD (for OS): Samsung 820 64GB
- HD (for data): Seagate Barracuda 1TB, 7200 rpm, 64MB cache
- Optical Drive: DVD ROM Samsung SH-118AB/BEBE

Can you play with the buffer setting? Does it help?
There were some improvements to BASS player in MP 1.6 Pre. Maybe the issue is already fixed there.

I'm going to install MP 1.60 Pre and play with the Music settings this evening...I'll keep you informed about any outcome (hopefully positive!)!

Quite simple! Just updated to 1.6 Pre Release and no more issues in playing adio CDs (idenpendently the buffer dimension)!
