[solved] Stuttering on SDTV channels (1 Viewer)

When I switch to an SDTV (576i, 25fps) channel the fps rate is lower (~41-46fps) than the expected 50fps and the video is stuttering. I can eliminate the stuttering by changing the viewmode to different value (e.g. from normal to stretch). The fps rate is then 50 fps. Switching back to the previous view mode (e.g. normal) the fps rate is still 50 fps. The rest of the configuration is unchanged.

The configuration uses LAV filters with hardware acceleraton (DVXA 2) for deinterlacing. Because the stuttering could be eliminated with the view mode switch without configuration changes I would assume the configuration is correct. The CPU usage is about 25%.

I will attach the recorded log files of the scenario described above.

Any ideas?

After I disabled the continuous BB detection in plugin ViewModeSwitcher for the relevant profiles the fps rate is 50 fps.

Yes, the continuous Black Bar detection can have a big performance impact on low-end GPUs.
