Stuttering Ticker (1 Viewer)

Hi

I love InfoService but I have major problems with the ticker on the Home page.

It constantly scrolls a couple of spaces and then stutters and jumps back a bit and repeats.

If I go into MP Settings - Screen Set-up - Scroll Speed the test patterns there move normally. Settings are Horizontal Speed 3, Vertical Speed 1, Maximum FPS 60 (which is my TV's refresh rate). The refresh rate meter shows between 55-60fps.

I see you are using StreamedMP. This happens if in the ticker are characters which are not supported by the ticker font.
For example: ˝, – ...

Is there a different ticker font I can use to fix this then? If so, how do I do this?

Thanks for the guide, I'll give it a go. It's wouldn't have a clue what to put in there otherwise

This is a very nice example usage of my filtering system When I added this filtering ability to InfoService, I've been thinking if any filters should be added as default, perhaps this is it

Yes, the symbols are just straight quotes ("), minus sign (-) and a lower-case e. This set has served me well with the Finnish feeds I subscribe to.
