Re: SubCentral v1.1.0 - download & manage subtitles (Moving Pictures/MP-TVSeries/othe

I cannot figure out how to update the plugin with the latest version from the repository. I have read many pages but haven't found any tips on how to do this. It seems like everybody else is more clever than I. :) I hope a helpful soul will point me in the right direction.

    Hi mackey :)

If you're using MediaPortal 1.1.x, then you fire up MPEI, download online update info - i think the button is in last tab.

If you're using MediaPortal 1.2 Beta, you download _MP12.mpe1 file from repository web page (link in first post) and run this file manually - it is registered by MPEI.

    Hope that helps :)

Hi - thanks for the tips. :)

I do as described above on my 1.2 Beta setup, that is download https://www.team-mediaportal.com/index.php?option=com_mtree&task=att_download&link_id=27&cf_id=40, replace the zip extension with mpe1 and try to install it. However I get a "Wrong file format!" error on my primary setup in the living room.

However on my kitchen HTPC there is no problem. I quess I better make a complete reinstall on my livingroom HTPC when MP 1.2.0 RC is out. It is my setup that has become messy over the years. Currently I can only run the 0.9.1 version of SubCentral on this specifik setup and OpenSubtitles is the only source that returns valid subtitles. :p It is okay for now.

Interesting, when I download file from the link you posted, I don't get ZIP extension file but mpe1 :) Guess it depends on browser.

About wrong file format, I really wouldn't know, it's weird but I don't get such on my 1.2 Beta setup. If no one else gets this error (?), it's probably something related to your setup :)

I have spent a lot of time searching but couldn't find a solution... can't use the plugin, error msg: "unable to load subtitledownloader library! is subtitledownloader.dll available?".

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I love your plugin, it works formidable with the last mptvseries and moving pictures

    I've got one question

Is it not possible to use subcentral with my movies in the file mode?
I mean with the filename + number of megabytes (or gigabyte)

    thanks

Hi, how did you install plugin? Manually or using MPEI? SubtitleDownloader.dll should be located in the same directory you have MediaPortal.exe in (usually c:\Program Files\Team MediaMortal\MediaPortal). If it is there, check the DLL version. Also, read first post about including logs when asking for support :)

    Hello

But :) with my videos I cant find in the menu (the menu if you press F9).

I've tried to reinstall subcentral but nothing happens.
I use the 1.2 beta version of media portal

Hi, what skin are you using? Subtitles button should be in hidden menu in MyVideos (not F9 menu). In MPEI installer there is a screen where you can choose to install Default/DefaultWide skin mods (modified skin files for MyVideos to include "Subtitle" button). If you unchecked that, you won't have this button. Also, important is that subtitles button is visible only in Database views of MyVideos, not Shares.

No, in shares view there is not enough data to start the search from. Filename means nothing if it isn't parsed and scrapped, to get data. And this is job for media importing plugins (Moving Pictures, TVSeries, MyVideos). After the data is available, SubCentral can use it to search for subtitles. That's just the way it works :)

Is the latest version compatible with 1.2 Beta ? When I try to install it, I get an error that it only works with 1.2 Alpha edition.
