Thank you very much for your support, SilentException
I tried to play the srt subtitle in vlc. I tried many different encodings,
didn't play correctly.
Than I tried again in MP with MPC-HC. Font was set to Arial (default). Didn't play.
But when I installed CordiaUPC, set the font to it and played in MP it played successfully!
Now this raises the next challenge. Fortunately this font is so nice that it can play
thai same as german subtitles. But in the german subtitlees not all characters are displayed
correctly then. Is there a way to choose the display font dynamically dependend on the subtitle
language? It is very impractible to leave MP, enter config, change font and return while
watching videos. Any help on that
Any news on SubCentral.xml and MediaPortal.xml so I can fix this?
Hello,
I just tried this plug-in and it is really great! Thank you for the great work.
There is only one thing. I downloaded subtitles in Thai and these
do not show up correctly (wrong font, characters). When watching DVDs in MP
also copied into moving pictures Thai subtitles contained in the DVD show up
correctly. What can I do to get the downloaded subtitles display correctly?
Subtitles in text format (99% of downloaded ones) need to be in proper encoding and you have to use proper font to display them. So, the error is either in SubtitleDownloader (encoding) or in your player configuration. You can check the encoding by trying to play the movei and show the subtitles downloaded by SubCentral in MPC-HC or VLC. To configure player subtitles (font and size), use MediaPortal configuration. As you didn't provide any more info, there is not much more to say.
Hi, I have 1.2 beta installed. I downloaded the right file as stated few posts before and am still unable to install the plugin. The installer says I'm not running the correct version.
Is there any trick to get it working? Thanks for answer.
