    Hi

    Currently the following file naming formats are supported
    %movie.name%.srt
    %movie.name%-Language.srt
    %movie.name%.Language.srt

    But not
    %movie.name% Language.srt
    %movie.name%_Language.srt

    This is with the default subtitle settings and MPC-HC as the subtitle handler.

    The two non supported formats are actually very common file naming conventions for included subtitles (especially the underscore character), so I think they should also be supported without requiring the user to rename all their files.

    Can you confirm that MPC-HC Player does the same ?

    MPC-HC.exe Supports
    %movie.name%.srt
    %movie.name%-Language.srt
    %movie.name%.Language.srt

    MPC-HC.exe Doesn't support
    %movie.name% Language.srt
    %movie.name%_Language.srt

    Also: I noticed some inconsistency with how MP displays the name of external subtitles

    Example: "Movie.2004.DVDRip.XviD_ENG.PT-BR.avi"

    Movie.2004.DVDRip.XviD_ENG.PT-BR.English.srt --> Displayed as "English" in MP & MPC-HC
    Movie.2004.DVDRip.XviD_ENG.PT-BR-English.srt --> Displayed as "PT-BR-English" in MP & "-English" in MPC-HC

    Thanks, I think me asking might be a waste of time.

    PS. When I say they are common, I actually mean they are "not that much of an uncommon way for subtitles to be named"
