    Hi there,

I have never been too bothered about Subtitles/Closed Captioning as I have them turned off when watching live TV (well try to turn them off - not sure what I'm doing), or my foreign movies have them embedded (avi) or don't normally have them (mkv)

To solve the odd annoying occurance of closed cpationing I have tried to disable all subtitle functionality in MP!

I got a movie yesterday, Quantum of Solace (MKV format), which when played gives a SRT/UTF8 error (popup window). :(

If I "ok" on that, the movie plays fine.

Can anyone explain how to resolve this error?

And better still, how to correctly handle subtitles? (I tried to set my audio language, to the none MPEG1 Closed Caption stream via the menu while watching the channel) - is there a way to set it as default for all channels? :D

    My setup is:

    MP1.1 (latest SVN)
    W7x64
    ATI9.8
    Saf4Beta22
    PDVD9 (for bluray)

    Many thanks,

    J. :D

ps - I read somewhere about enabling "automatic vsfilter" from within Haali/MKV Splitter??? (but I can't find the splitter - my mkv thumbnails are still just icons and not thumbnails from within explorer)
