Is it possible to get subtitles in mediaportal without using TVE3? I saw the thread about "testning new filter" but that solution seems to need TVE3.
Subtitles im talking about is for tv-channels.

For now im using MP 0.2.3RC2. Channels and EPG works its just subtitles im missing.

When it says in the thread that you need TVE3 then you have to have it to make it work no?
TVE3 is going to replace original TV engine so it is pretty normal to make new features for this engine instead of the old one, no?

I dont know, thats why im asking! Just because the latest thread says that the newest features for MP is with TVE3 doesnt mean that i never worked before without it? Its obviouse that the function is developed for newest software. But that doesnt mean an earlier version did not worked as well without it. My hope was in dvb subtitle without engine because it works so fine as it is now without the TVE3.

To sum up, what u are trying to say is that the TVE3 is the only why to get DVB subtitle? It has never worked before without it? Simple question to a person who knows.

If you don't believe me why don't you ask in this thread:

https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/new_dvb_subtitle_filter_tsreader_based-t25838.html?highlight=dvb

They are experts and that is why this thread is there...

Come on, plz! I never said that I dont believe you. Where did u get that from? I just explained what i was looking for and wondering if there is no previouse dvb subtitle solution instead of that with TVE3! And what in your answer could be something to not belive when you end up the sentences with an, "no ?". You put them to questions instead of facts!

But i try that thread and hope that the guys there have an answer for me.

TVE2 hasn't ever supported DVB subtitles and it won't be ever supporting. So the TVE3 will be the only way to get the DVB subtitles supported under MP.
