Hello, I have just lost all tuning capabilities. I can scan for channels and get perfect signal quality but as soon as I try to tune a channel I get errors like "Unknown error" or "channel is scrambled" etc. I have even tried rescanning channels but to no avail.

The error happened earlier today, no known changes were made so I am getting worried it might be HW related.

When I look in the tswriter log i find entries like this:

    Code:

Not sure where to turn now. I have DigitalDevices CineS2 cards on DVB-C. How could I verify that they are ok? All devices in device manager look ok. I can access CAM menu just fine - all looks good except this damn channel tuning. Any tips is greatly appreciated!

Can you view the channels with the default software supplied with the TV card? This would help to rule out it being a problem with MP

Sorry - out of suggestions - is there no software on the mfrs website?

Good news :) I fixed it!

Could not get my head around this one and I have been using media portal for many years and never had such a strange issue. Lately I have had some stability issues on my computer after a BIOS upgrade and this trouble started after a crash. With this in mind I have installed dvblink and dvbviewer and both of them worked fine for free-to-air but never got the CI to work. The same channels did not tune in MEPO.

Now I basically deleted the whole tvserver database and reinstalled it. New channel search and settings from scratch, and finally we have a success! Sorry for this mind bender but it seems I somehow corrupted my database but not enough for tvserver to crash. Maybe this info could become a benefit for a future searcher with problems.

Now my only problem is that dvblink looked really nice if I can get the CI to work ;)

    Thanks for the help jsc2013!
