MediaPortal 1.1.0 wil contain support for Midi and Karaoke fies using the BASS engine.
ATTENTION: suport for .kar does only mean that the files are played just as any other midi file. it does NOT mean that you will see the karaoke text. This would be an issue for a plugin.
For Midi playback you need to have a Sound Font installed.
Due to Copyright restriction, we canot distribute them with the product.
You find a lot of them on the web. search for "sf2 download".
A sample is available from the BASS home Page
Multiple sf2 files can be downloaded. They need to be put into the "MusicPlayer\plugins\audio decoders\" folder and are picked up by BASS on initalisation.
Furthermore you need to add "*.mid" and "*.kar" as extensions witin Configuration.
