Before install of MP 0.2.3.0 "suspend to disk (hibernate)" worked perfect.

Then, when i had installed (before rebooting) it still worked, but AFTER reboot it will not work.
When i press button it will suspend and shut off, then after 1-2seconds the computer starts by itself again.

If i restore the computer and installs MP again (without rebooting) it works over and over again, until i make a real reboot.

Also: in MP on the power menu there are 4 alternatives: shut off, reboot, sleep, hibernate

Sleep just quickly shuts off and then restart
Hibernate is the mode i want to use.

Motherboard: Asus P5K-VM, OS: XP Pro

Solution??

The bios settings was f***ed up. I set it to S3 only, and now ith works again..

I have very similar problem after installing TVserver recently.
I guess I wasn't that lucky as you were as BIOS setting was OK (S3-STR) Suspend to Ram and it always was this way. I had MP installed before and PC was going to SLEEP relegiously every time I pressed a SLEEP button on my remote.
After TVserver installation (Single Seat) the sleep function worked fine. I even could wake up my PC using the remote controller Power Button (I couldn't get to do it with M0.2.3RC3 before). This made me very happy, I was praising every second I switched to TVserver.
My happiness disapered at night, when my PC over suddenly decided to wakeup and as it standing close to my bed, wake up my missis as well (You can imagine what happened next) . Well, I pressed SLEEP button again and PC went to sleep straight away. It waited for about 40 minutes (just enough for us to fall back asleep) and then woke up again ....
I had no option but got up I pressed the power button on the PC long enough to kill the bastard. Ever since my PC refuses to go to any standby modes S3 or S4. Only shutdown or reset works.
If anyone who experienced similar fun has a solution, please share it here. I am missing my standby mode as I can't schedule to record anything now without leaving my computer ON all the time.
If it helps, I have MST installed since my MP0.2.3RC3 installation.

Sometimes USB Devices can produce this behavior. Disconnecting all not needed of them could be a try.
Never had that problem myself so this is the only hint i can give, just read that with the usb devices serveral times in different forums.

My remote is not USB, sorry forgot to mention this before. The remote is plugged in straight to the tunner card.
    Another thing:
The behaviour various depending on which window was openned at the time of pressing the SLEEP button. If I press the button while in the MyTv or Home window it will only switch off television, I get the black small screen where Tv channel was playing before.
If I press the button from the MyTv full screen, EPG might popup with the Tv channel still playing. I am lost.
As I have another DVB-S card in another PCI slot I will try to use another remote, hopping this is related to PCI slot itself.
