Switch Audiostream in AVIs? (1 Viewer)

MediaPortal Version: 1.0

I want to play AVIs with two audiostreams (english/german) but the mediaportal mixes up the streams.
Is there any possibility to set up mediaportal to be able to switch between the two streams?

I am also interested. I have tried with ffdshow but MP freezes when switching audios

I searched the forum for this problem, but all I found was converting the files to mkv....
But I have about 80 GB of AVIs with dual Audio... it would take me months to convert all of this.

Nevertheless I tried to convert my files - but the mkv format is not playable in Mediaportal.

What can I / we do?

with ffdshow I am able to switch between ac3 audios, but if I change to a mp3 audio then MP freezes and I have to reset the HTPC. External players play dual mp3 avis without problems. Converting to mkv is not a option for me, I have lots of DVDs and GBs in my hd.

Solution is really easy, just install Haali media splitter and enable avi support. That is all

Tah is strange, becouse it is working just fine for me using Haali + my SAF package. May be you can post small video example to test?

the problem is only present if the audio streams are mp3. With ac3, everything goes ok.
I am using haali + ffdshow

I solved it:
1- Install ffdshow following this guide:
MEDIAPORTAL - free media center - simple mediaportal codec guide

2- Go to ffdshow audio decoder configuration- stream switcher and enable it.
