Hello,

I'm looking for a method to synchronize the video database in MP with fysical files.

I mean: i've delete fysical files on disk. How can these automatically be deleted from the video database, without rescanning all the videos (option 'do not scan files already in the database') ?
I don't want to rescan all the files, because I've done a lot of manual work already fe. grouped parts of avi files from the same film together in 1 video record in MP.

Thanks in advance,
Jeroen.

Why not delete them from within the mediaportals gui, then you remove file\s and entry from database.

Moving Pictures plugin has the ability to do exactly what you want, as it monitors your movie folders.

    Thanks Ray\PD

Deleting them from medioportal GUI is indeed the wright solution.

But: I've noticed a lot of strange file names of videos. I've renamed them to normal ones (=fysical file rename) (fe. with no special unicode chars). I've did a rescan, so the new appeared in the MP video db, but the old still exits in the db.

Moving picutes indeed has this capability, but it has its own database. And I use views in the video menu from genre and year (which is not included in moving pictures) I thought. So I wan't to stay with the native video menu.

    Thanks for the repley,

    Jeroen.
