System bar problem (1 Viewer)

Windows Version: Vista Ultimate x64

Hi folks, started using MediaPortal some days ago and I love it! But im having some issues i am not yet able to fix. One of the issues is when MediaPortal is in Full Screen, the windows system bar is always visible. If I have the bar automatically hidding, I still can see the border in the bottom of the screen.

Any ways to fix this? I am the only one with that problem?

PS: Other issue is I get a "Couldnt play file: mkv / mpg / whatever codec fail" even having an external player configured, after closing the player, but I still didnt configured the internal codecs and video settings, maybe i will fix it with that.

Mediaportal general settings there are a few tick boxes to do with fullscreen etc.

I would like these clarified further as I also have some issues understanding what they all do.

Could this be VISTA proglem?

Always on top?
Hide taskbar in fullscreen?
Running in fullscreen?

I dont have that problem with any other programs or players. Thats why I asked if there is some issue with MediaPortal + Vista about the system bar.

Will try always on top / hiding the taskbar in fullscreenmode as soon as I arrive at home.

No, these options didnt fixed the problem. Just while not playing, but whenever I play a video (internal or external player) I get to see the border of the start / system / windows bar.

Seems its something incompatible with the Aero theme, if I disable it all works great.

Anyone having the same issue?

I have noticed this problem whenever DPI scaling is enabled.

Setting compatibility mode for MediaPortal.exe fixes the taskbar problem, but then my fonts get scaled horribly.

I have yet to find a permanent solution.
