Have you got a CAM in the CI slot?

Tuning should work regardless.
Please try the attached patch (same installation instructions).

If that still doesn't work, please try the TBS patch from here:

It says "1.6" but it also works with MP 1.7.x.

second patch for 1.6 seems to work now the card find channels.
did i have to scan for the second tuner again or did mediaportal save the channels for both

No, you don't have to scan again, but you do have to link the channels to the second tuner:

1. Select tuner up top.
2. Select all channels on the left (select first channel, hold shift, press "end").
3. Click ">>".
4. Done.
