I reported that to TBS. I will post the answer as soon as I get it. Thanks a lot for your help.

Here is the first answer from TBS:

    "Hi Stefan

Please follow the Mediaportal's advice try to add the delay time to load our driver.
And we will have a try in our side too.
Any progress we will let you know ASAP.

    Thanks
    Kind Regards

    steven"

How many seconds of delay do you recommend? I already tried 4 second, which did not change the problem.

    Excellent :)
Please pass my greetings to Steven if you have a chance. :)
I'm not surprised that 4 seconds is not enough. I would recommend at least 60 seconds. Better to set a high value while testing. You could try to reduce the value over time if you discover that the delay solves the problem.

I have been informed, that TBS discontinued 6982 in favour of 6982SE. As per TBS infomation, 6928SE should use new chipset with higher sensitivity tuner. They also claim both cards will use same driver, but as a matter of fact, these two tuners have different PCI IDs.
I am considering purchase and I would like to ask you, will 6982 be supported by patches released here?

Also, next time this happens, before restarting the TV service or PC please can you try to:
    1. Enter the CAM menu.
    2. Remove and reinsert the CAM.
    3. If (1) failed, try to enter the CAM menu again.

Just had the situation where I can no longer watch encrypted channels with the TBS5980 which has the CAM, but FTA channels still worked fine. I cleared the logs, then went to enter the CAM menu through SetupTv.exe.... no response. Then closed SetupTv.exe, cleared the logs again and removed and re-inserted the CAM. I then entered the CAM menu again through SetupTv.exe, and this time it worked fine. I've attached the respective TVService logs (serial number removed). The difference seems to be this entry:
    [2014-04-12 09:44:28,948] [Log ] [39 ] [DEBUG] - CiMenu: unregistered client callback.

    Any thoughts?

    Please post full log files.
I'm far more concerned about why there are no "Turbosight MMI handler" thread entries after "Turbosight: enter menu" than I am about the "CiMenu: unregistered client callback.". I can only guess that the MMI handler thread somehow got choked up or cleared, but I can't tell this without the full log history.

Thanks, will do that next time it happens. I have since removed MPExtended and MPWebServices because every so often MPWebServices would cause my CPU to max out until I would terminate it, just in case that could be a contributing factor.

Will the patch from 140102 for 1.6 also works with 1.7 or do we need a new one?
