Our house was equipped with new cables last year and with new amplifiers, so they should be fine. We are 6 parties in one house. I went to the basement and changed my line to the highest output port on the amplifier and switch.. to no success..
I also have new cables in all my rooms, so I guess it is not a mater of signal strength or muting..
I read in another (MCE) forum, that others do have problems with QAM 256 as well. They said it clearly is a problem of TT drivers..
They have experimented with cabeling to no success..
I can recieve all QAM256 and QAM64 channels, but they are stuttering very very much.. :-(
So I am concidering to by a different card with better drivers/support. I do need BDA for MP (as far as I know), and there are not many DVB-C cards with CI+CAM support, so I wonder which ones really work fine with MP..
I concider: FloppyDTV (expensive!!), KNC1 (does this support CAM/CI?), Twinhan (does that have CAM/CI)?
