Hello forum, is there any way that mp1 or mp2 would support the ct2 4500? The channel scan only gives me a handful of channels which I then can't tune in, and the CI module seems not to be supported at all.. Anyone who managed to get that card working?

Cheers for your help

    Thanks (y)
The TT Budget CT2-4500 CI is actually a DVBSky clone which should already be supported (so the CI should have worked), but it seems that the driver is slightly different than I expected. Could you please try the attached DLLs to see if they fix the CI support:
    1. Stop the MP2 Server.
    2. Take a backup of the Mediaportal.TV.Server.Plugins.CustomDevices.DvbSky.dll and Mediaportal.TV.Server.Plugins.CustomDevices.NetUp.dll DLLs in the server Native TV plugin plugins folder (sorry, I don't know the exact path - maybe @morpheus_xx can tell you).
    3. Download and extract the attached DLLs to replace the DLLs mentioned above.
    4. Start the MP2 Server.
    5. Try to scan again and provide a fresh log file (even if successful - I want to see some debug details in the log file).
For the scanning: please check that the tuning detail file includes the correct frequencies for your provider/area. I'm not sure if morpheus_xx took the latest ones from MP1/TVE3. They could be quite out of date...

    Thanks for the help

scanning worked a little better, but the card still doesn't tune in to the found channels "no PMD found"
BTW, I only changed to MP2 since I thought this TV Server can deal with the Technotrend.
A solution for MP1 v1.7 would be really appreciated.

    No problem. :)

Something is wrong here. MP2 server is not loading the DVBSky or NetUP plugins anymore:

Please double check that you extracted the DLLs to the correct location.
    Is there any error log?

Sorry but I won't be providing a solution for MP 1.7/TVE3.
In TVE 3 older TechnoTrend tuners are supported, but not some of the newer tuners. The wiki tells you which tuners are supported for CI:
    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_MEDIAPORTAL_1/11_Preparing_Your_System/01_Supported_TV_Cards

This card is not listed => not supported.
As it says in the MP 1.7 release news, TV Server (TVE3) is in code freeze so that we can work on a newer and much better TVE 3.5. TVE 3.5 is what you are using with MP2 so if we can make MP2 work then MP1 will work later. You are the first person to try the tuner with TVE 3.5, so I am not surprised there are a few bugs. We can work together to fix them. :)

Please remember that you have to replace the plugin file in two locations. First in plugins/slimtv.native/plugins/customdevices
    And once in plugins/slimtv.native/setuptv/plugins/customdevices
Don't nail me down on these paths, i write it from the top of my mind :)

Double check is done. I even did the procedure above twice. Once with an absolute clean installation.
While copying I was asked if I want to replace the existing files. That should prove it.

    The error log is empty.

And a stupid question: why should mp load the dvbsky dll? The card is recognized as Technotrend.
