    Hi again Tilman

There were major errors when you changed from pause mode to stop mode, but other than that I can't see any problems in the logs. I have some suggestions for you:

    1. Stick with 1.2.0b. 1.2.0b has *a lot* of improvements over 1.1.x.
    2. Stick with stop mode.
    3. When you unplug or plug in the satellite cable, the computer and any other STB, multiswitch etc. connected to the satellite dish should be off. If you don't turn things off then you risk damaging the card and/or other devices connected to the satellite dish.
    4. You can only use the card in one application at a time. The TT programs (and any other software that you have installed) could be preventing TV Server from using the card.

    Hi again,
ok, i'll stick w 1.2.0b and stop mode.

I know about possible problems while plugging devices without powering off before (i'm an electronics engineer and a sw
developer since more then 30 years).

I did not use any of the TT-Series programs and MePo in parallel.

Could you pls. provide some more information what i could do to get the S2-1600 running?
Something like raising verbosity level or ...

    Thks

That's good. I was wondering whether there were any background processes that get installed by the TT programs, because they may also do the same thing. I have an S2 3200 myself and it works perfectly, but I've never installed or used the TT software (apart from the driver).

Could you pls. provide some more information what i could do to get the S2-1600 running?

The logs really didn't have any obvious errors except when you tried stop mode, which is *very* unusual. The TV Server logs are always on high verbosity (we're working on a better logging system for 1.3.0). All that I can really suggest is to restart the PC, reinstall the drivers, and to ensure that there are no background services running that would be using the tuner. There is nothing that would suggest that the tuner should not just work if signal is present...

Just found this thread after installing a Technotrend TT-budget S2-1600 as second DVB-S Card into my htpc with MP 1.2.0. A Technotrend TT-budget S2-3200 was already installed. In the beginning I had some problems (no signal and unknown error), but after switching pre-loading off for both cards everything is working great now. I have installed both PCI cards with a DeLock Risercard 41341 connected to the PCIe 1x slot.

There are other threads reporting a pre-load problem with Technotrend cards:

These are quite old threads. I don't think the first thread has anything to do with this problem, but the second one might so I have commented there and updated the wiki (here). If you turn on preloading then you have to be aware of the potential consequences - if TV Server attempts to load the tuner before the driver is ready then bad things will happen. Simple as that. This is not specific to 1600, 3200 or even Technotrend cards. Any card could be affected depending on driver behaviour and general system loading speed. Try increasing the delay before TV Server detects cards if you want to use preloading (wiki info -->here<--)...
