Hi,
I use this card with POV ION ATOM 330 board, and it works quite well for
Satellite ASTRA 19.2 at least ( I do not use Diseq or Rotor)
I can receive SDTV as well as FTA HDTV like ASTRA HD+, ARTE HD, ...
Channel switching speed is same level as Floppy DTV-S2.
Hi,
yes I use it with MediaPortal 1.1 Beta version.
So far no problem with S3 wake-up/resume.
OS is VISTA 32-Bit version.
But the card has no support for CI, to watch pay tv (e.g. SKY) you need
a different card.
At least with my HW/SW set-up the cardworks pretty well with MediaPortal 1.1 beta.
Best Regards
hey, that sounds cool. do you have to setup or change anything from the standard values or do you just installed the card and set it up in mp 1.1.0 and it works? i'm just looking for an alternative to my floppy dtv, cause i want to buy a second card (S2 to watch and record) and digital everwhere seems stops production. ci isn't interesting for me right right now.
Hi,
there was no special set-up necessary.
It just worked out of the box. To my surprise also the DVB-S2 HDTV
channels worked with no problem.
I use Cyberlink PDVD9 codecs for MPEG2 and .H264 withh ffdshow Audio decoder-
But I have not made a channel scan yet with MP 1.1 Beta ( I have used the existing DB from MP1.1 Alpha).
okay, i used the saf packet here from the forum, so i think it will be possible for me too. you made your scan under mp 1.1 alpha? i think it must be possible with the beta too, so i think it works.
have you tested things like timeshift, osd/epg?
Hi,
I have not made any specific tests with this card.
But I use it on daily base and could not find any specific problem with timeshift, epg etc related to the tv-card.
However for a judgement if this is really a "good" card you need feedback from more users with different HW/SW set-ups.
yes, thats right. but i think that not so many users wil have this card, cause it is not officially supported from mediaportal. i mean, it is not in this supported tv cards list.
I have just installed this card in my backend TV-Server running win 7 ulitmate x86 and MP 1.1.1. The problem i get is with MDPlugins. In the mdapicards.xml the card appears with this name "TeVii DVB-S/S2 Receiver" So it is impossible for MP to autocreate the folder with same name due to the /. The folder has to be autocreated it seems cause i tried to manually rename "TeVii DVB-S/S2 Receiver" to "TeVii DVB-S-S2 Receiver" and then i manually created the folder structure placing the newcamd files and configuring it like i have in my other DVB-S2 cards (technisat)folders but it won´t work and I get "unknown user tried to log in" in NewCS
Is there anyway around this or shuld i contact TeVii and ask them for a solution?
Regards
Peter
So, to answer my question myself this is how i fixed it
I just searched thru the registry and changed all the keys so it didn´t have the /
When i the restarted the server the folders i wanted were autocreated. So now i am using my new, forth DVB-S2 card and it works great even with HD. The other cards, two Terratec Cinergy DVB-S2 HD, and one Technisat Skystar HD2 (same cards with different names) also work great even with HD. I have set CAM limit to 3 on all cards and it works perfect.
The only problem i have no is the the TV server service crashes several times aday and it is always complaining about MSVCR90.dll, but that i am posting in a new thread.
Perhaps... Only way to confirm would be for me to invest in a different USB DVB-S2 tuner (like the Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-S2), which I might do if the issue persists.

It's getting weirder.....
If I remove all the IP cards in the TVServer setup and then add them back I can scan the M3u and tune the stations but if I rescan it on the same card it just keeps updating the 1 channel. My brain is melting.........

Those signal numbers look fine. (y)
Unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions as to the possible cause of your problem. :(

In the UK, the EPG transmitted in the DVB-T datastream allows each programme to have two genres -- a primary genre, and a secondary genre (i.e. a subgenre).
The primary genre might be something like Film (or Movie in the USA).
The secondary genre for Film might be something like: Action, Comedy, Crime, Fantasy, Romance, Science...
