Well Samsonite, I can't help being astonished by your work. And now that I've shown how polite I can be, let's get rude :-D
Here are my suggestions:
1 - I'd like the buttons to have a more evident 3dimensional look;
2 - more contrast between the background of the unpressed buttons and the rest of the screen;
3 - try to keep the same colors, the same logic, the same complessive look for all the icons of each submenu. I mean, the icon in the video menu seems to me a little "retro", while the others seem contemporary or futuristic and there ain't always a "family feeling" in the icons as a whole;
4 - (this is just a personal taste) i'd prefer more rounded corners in the "up arrow";
5 - back buttons everywhere ;-) ;
6 - I don't like the division of the main menu in three zones throug straight lines... I'd prefer wavy lines, maybe moving slowly...
It's all I can think of right now. Huh, maybe it's too much after all ;-) .

1. I am very pleased myself whith the buttons for highlighting items. I have tried many looks (yes very 3d looking to) but it does not really look that good in my opinion. Anyway, I had a thought that I might release a couple of button packs since I made so many and ppl can choose hehe. I am not sure if your feedback is on the first screenshots or if it is for the latest buttons I made.

2. This to was a choise I made, I have tried with contrast ranging from much to little and I have decieded it looks more relaxing in the long run to have a light texture there.

3. Ah yes, the icons. This was the first thing Mario pointed out to me and it has a point. However icons takes ages to create so I have intentionally waited to start doing new ones. I kind of have to decide in what direction to go before I spend the time needed on this on

4. We will see, that is how they looked in the first version I did (not released) but I did not think the really looked that good (and that was the exact same button as the one that is there now but with rounded corners).

5. Waiting for someone to create the new topbar, it has been in the pipes for ages but is still not here

6. I am not completely happy about that one either, when I get a great idea I will change it. I have several sketches laying around on this topic and I might decide to look in to that very soon

I'm very pleased so far, but I've got one concern: The small red "now recording"-symbol in the upper right corner of the "Home" screen (only shown when MP is recording something, of course) collides with the three-button-thing up there.

K, thanks for spotting that, since I dont have a tv card I have a bit of a problem testing that section of skinning. I will adjust this

I've kept thinking about the home page... I think a nice idea could be a simulated cylindrical look like this (_) , with the upper menu items fading in and getting bigger as they scroll down, while the lower ones get smaller and fade out...

To get that effect you would need to code that effect, the way that it is done now is a basic movie type of scrolling. But I also would love to see more of a demo/game menu approach to the homepage navigation. But hey, all in due time I guess

Anyway, what I was trying to say is that it's not a skinning question.

I would not use red text I promise I have just not gotten to that part and also, have honestly never tried that feature.
