    :D

Please try to [temporarily] disable the DVB EPG grabber - both idle and timeshifting - then restart TV Server and see if the problem persists.

    Hi mm,

I have been looking for a solution to MP TV locking up/hanging after playing recorded video (via MP and externally) and came across your post. I have disabled the EPG settings described above and it appears to have resolved my problems.

Could you please explain why this may have occurred (if possible)? Have i now lost the ability to use the EPG?

I am only running a DVB terrestrial card.

    Thanks,

    Bilby.

    Hi and welcome Bilby :)

Without seeing TV Server logs I can't say anything about the situation with any confidence. You haven't necessarily lost the ability to use EPG at all. I was intending to try a series of steps to narrow down the problem with RoMan_P as I have some ideas. Please post your TV Server logs so I can take a look. If you've installed MP and TV Server on the same machine then use the watchdog with option 3 - otherwise open TV Server config, click "open log directory" in the top left hand corner, zip up all the files you find there and post them here.

    Hi mm

Thanks for the quick reply. I will attempt to get the logs tonight (need TV for kid control while cooking dinner!!). I will post logs in this thread.

    Hi again

:D for the logs - I do see a couple of deadlocks in there. Can you tell me whether you have "enable CRC check" ticked in the "DVB EPG" section of TV Server configuration. If so, disable it and see how you go with EPG grabbing enabled again. If that option is not enabled then let me know...
