Sorry if this is has been already solved in some other thread, but I didn’t find a solution yet. I cannot select subtitles and I can’t switch audio tracks. Besides, I have problems with mkv files showing both internal (and out of synch) and external subtitles at the same time. I have tried so many things that I don’t know what could have been wrong or could be wrong know (kind of a common situation
?).
Anyway, this is my present situation:
I uninstalled every codec and codec-related software and made a clean install of fddshow, haali media splitter, LAV filters and Vsfilter/Direct Vobsub.
This is my current MP 1.2.3 configuration:
·Video/audio codecs: Microsoft DTV-DVD for every video (FFDShow/FFDShow DXVA work very good as well); LAV for every audio
·Subtitle engine: MPC-HC; Subtitles preferences in MP: load both internal and external subs by language preference.
Haali media splitter is set to load no filter. LAV splitter is set to load audio and subs tracks as per default configuration. As I said before, I tried a lot of things and nothing worked for me. Anyway I’m sure that trying to use Direct Vobsub as subtitles engine causes a stuttering playback of most HD videos.
I guess there must be a working configuration with so many pieces of software. I just can’t find the right combination. Can anyone help?
