MP 0.2.0.0 release. Just installed
When I try to add or edit in TV Tuner Cards Setup my Sapphire Theatrix 550Pro (ATI) I get the error “Unable to create a graph for this card†two times. After the card is added or the edit panel is shown, but I can’t see any TV channel from this card in MP.
With the last SVN MP 0.2.0.0 RC4 was ok. I have also a twinhan dvb-T CI inside and works perfectly.
Any suggestion?
Thanks

Do you have the new Ati Theater 550 Drivers Installed ? Else that's the reason :)

They did some modifications on the filters involved in the graph and since the connections between these filters have been modified the current graph description works only for the latest driver. So install and it will be ok :)

What is it that actually is done when a new tv tuner is added? I have investigating the components in graphedit, and some of the MP xml files, and I take that you are adding all corresponding filters as well as their input/output pin mappings.

But I thought the whole idea of DirecShow was that once a source filter is selected (tv-tuner), then all other components could be sorted out by the system, based on input/output capabilities?

Problem with intelligent connect is that it can do pretty anything except what you would like it to do (E.G. adding color space conversion, adding the wrong MPEG decoder, etc). So the whole graph is constructed manually and every filter is connected to each other "by hand".

But as Frodo wrote in the TV Engine v.3.0 article on MP home page, it appears that the new TV Engine will construct the graph automatically without needing a description of it. (don't know if he's using intelligent connect or if he wrote a class that does this)
