New website time

Here is the successor of movie-xml, please give it a test and provide any feedback in this thread or on thelighthouse account.

All the coding work was done by TravisBell and FForde of moving pictures fame so aim your thanks at them . I will be working with the data but we need help from all the sites users to keep it current. The API will come in the future, so no plugin interfaces yet. But we would be interested to find out what people think of the basic site so far. Eventually this should be a one stop show for all your movie information needs so we dont have to rely on imdb anymore.

But the edit tekst is hard to see... (like the edit actors area)

would be good to see how many backdrops there are for each movie and be able to change between them insted of the slideshow.

I uploaded a backdrop by mistake! It shoudl have been a poster.

How do I remove it? (its for "Sharpe's Challenge").

I clicked upload poster and was unaware that it took me to the upload backdrop section!!

Whats the deal with DVD covers? Can I take them from Amazon etc as long as they are referenced?

But about the "Youtube trailer links", will the website keep track of those links?
What happens if Youtube decides to change/delete links? Eventually the site would end up with thousands of broken links.

will themoviedb.org be integrated in moving picture again? - I think so, or not!?

- Yes it will be incorporated into moving pictures plugin

- The whole database is a wiki user orientated site, you will be able to update or change all kinds of info like youtube trailers.

- We know about the upload cover/fanart defaults, even I fell for that one It should be fixed soon

- No policies have been made yet for dvd covers, its a fine line between offering good quality stuff and copywrite issues. I doubt we will see the high quality covers again like movie-xml but you never know.

- The colour scheme does need some work, I agree the edit link is hard to see.

- FForde is working on the API but I think he mentioned it might take a few months. Its important to get it right and working efficiently.
