Need to check the logs in detail, but this looks as if your database file is messed up.
I wouldn't recommend stopping and restarting the server so often. That typically makes things worse instead of better. I'd recommend to start clean, I.e.:
    Stop Server and Client.
Go to C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal and delete the whole MP2 Server and MP2 Client directories.
    Restart Server, restart Client.
You will need to attach the Client to the server, but you will get a notification about that. Should be self explanatory.
Then re-add your MediaSource an let it import without stopping the server.
    Then post logs here :)

I had been deleting the database before each change point/reimport. I'll clean everything up tomorrow and see how it goes.

Missed your question earlier about the server service crashing. I noticed because the client couldn't see the server anymore and found the service stopped.

Quick update. Rolled back the test server to a clean windows install then did a fresh install of MP2 with the mods posted here.

The new count is 3413 movies 3488 videos so nearly 98% matched.

2 of your movies have issues and might be why the remaining are not showing up.... just a guess

Seems like we are getting there :) Very good...
I'll have a look at your logs in the next days to see what the reason for the missing 2% is.
@Lehmden: it currently looks like the improvements from this thread should go into one of the next weeklies. It would be great if you could throw the binaries from this thread to (part of) your series/movie collection to make sure that I didn't break anything else... Thanks!

    Hi.
I'm using the new binaries "productive" since you've posted them. All new additions to my library are done with the new files. No issues so far... But I didn't do any special tests like adding videos without proper metatags or similar (as I normally didn't have such)...

Not a problem. I have enough of them - and JSchuricht has even more ;) Just want to make sure that for those who have properly tagged files and/or correct nfo-files nothing is broken. Which seems to be the case for you.
