thumbs and folders and shortcuts (1 Viewer)

I am new to mediaportal but not to the industry. I have tested and evluated many media products and found media portal to offer the best overall soulution. Its free, accurate, cool loking, and flexible enough for me to mess it up. BUT, it works for me. I have a few minor questions that some one may ne able to help with. Regarding Movie Folders.Lets say my SDhare is composed of a Master Folder and sub folders such as, Drama, Action...etc., I want to be able to forcably associate a thumb pic with each folder....like folder.jpg for music...can this be done and if so how?

Next question....regarding adding shortcuts to the built in shortcut menu function for external porograms, Can i also associate thumb pictures with each of these and if so , How ?

just to follow up in the evnt others encounter his. I did indeed find the info anout how to add thumbd to shortcuts. I did, as many have foiund difficulty with getting the shortcuts to work, It seems that the Media Portal GUI often prohibits many programs from running, my work around was a downloaded pogram which is ,bat driven which minimized all windows thus freeing up the GUI to allow the other program to run. Of course the when I concluded my selected program ithe ,bat file continued, and i had instructed it to maximize the media portal window again. I did find that shortcuts operated differently depending on if they were within a gruouper. Almost all shortcuts worked when immediatley under the program file root. Most shortcuts failed when place in a Group.
