Hi,
Think you got this a bit wrong, align left = 13:30 -> 14:00(time frame), maybe we need a redesign of the skin if this it's not understandable.....

the slider should display the ACTUAL time in the timeline, or am i wrong?
if the slider displays a time that is about 13:38 when it is 13:53 then that is not correct and a bug. that is what the slider does at the moment.

The "arrows" display the correct time in your screen shot, you compare to the time in the time frame which shows frame start time & not showing (13:30 as in middle of the frame, maybe it should have been align to left, to be understandable)) the actual time where it is, maybe we should set it to in your case 13:45 as middle.....

oh my god... now i got it. but then the time (in my example 14:00) should generaly be aligned left.

Guess we have to think about this, since it can lead to misunderstanding. I've used it for a long time & always seen it as start time, but can see it could lead to confusing...

Thats why i want a poll added on the other thread, you and me are used to it, but i get the point it does not look correct.

I have now asked 3 visitors, what time did they think my EPG was at and all got it wrong

Every one assumed 2100 was the pointer for that time.

Yeah, but now it seems like a poll isn't needed. If origin design causes confusion we already have the answer & that is redesign, we can take this internal now & fix it.

I have only used MediaPortal for a couple of months and I must say it's a bit confusing an misleading for me too. A design-rework would be very welcome!

the default skin (BlueTwo) will mostliekly stay like it is.

a brand new skin which adresses many design flaws will be featured in MediaPortal 2.
as alternative you should checkout the communityskins.
