    Hi Devs and Community,

I have a long-standing problem with certain TV channels, here are the symptoms and how to reproduce it:
    • after starting MP I tune to a channel of the HelloHD provider on Eutelsat 9A (DVD-S2, h.264)
    • timeshift buffer will be created but not played back in MP, I just see the GUI (M2 HD in this logs)
    • now I swap to a channel of another provider, the timeshift file starts playing, but with the initial content of the previous channel (M2 HD instead Erste HD in this logs)
    • if I am wathing TV already, there is no problem with switching to Hello HD channels, only on first tune-to
    • channels of other providers are no problem (like Astra FTA channels, Astra Sky encrypted with CAM and smartcard)

    some additional informations:
    • this happens with several MP versions (1.3, 1.4, 1.5prerlease certainly)
    • this happens with several TV-cards (tested Skystar HD2, TBS 6928, Technotrend TT3200)
    • this happens ONLY with Hello HD channels
    • the created timeshift file is playable
    • this logs are with FTA channels but the same happens with encrypted ones, either with CAM (conax, I tested 2 modules, flawless it Pana TV directly) and smartcard or through unsupported plugin, no matter what
For me this looks like MP cannot "pick up" the streams of the otherwise correctly generated tsbuffer file from TV-Server, on the first playback start. This must be some specific problem to Hello HD channels.

    Thank you in advance

I will provide a TS Dump as described in your link, of course. Access could be also possible, but let´s start with the dump first.

so... I have the raw_packet_dump.ts file of the above mentioned transponder. It is 148 MB (about 10 sec timeshift). Which way do you prefer to be sent to you?

FTP please, as instructed at the bottom of the page which I linked to. I recommend FileZilla for FTP.

    So just to be clear...
In this dump file there are the following channels:
    1. Bartok Radio
    2. d1 TV
    3. DuckTV HD
    4. Duna HD
    5. Duna HD (Europa)
    6. Duna World HD
    7. Kossuth Radio
    8. Lanchid Radio
    9. M1 HD
    10. M1 HD (Europa)
    11. M2 HD
    12. M2 HD (Europa)
    13. Nat Geo Wild
    14. Nemzetisegi Adasok
    15. Parlamenti Adasok
    16. Petofi Radio
The channels that you have the problem with are M2 HD and M1 HD, not the "...(Europa)" versions, right?

From your MediaPortal.log when you try to play M2 HD:
    [2013-09-23 11:32:47,497] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - succeeded:confused:ucceeded TvControl.VirtualCard
    [2013-09-23 11:32:47,507] [Log ] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - tvhome:startplay scrambled

So, TV Server should have confirmed that the stream was not scrambled before telling MP that it successfully changed channels. Seems to me that the check is unnecessary. Please could you try the attached TV plugin in which I have removed the scrambled check.

yes, it is about the "M1 HD", not the "Europa" version. These are some funny channels, they were scrambled before but ony "halfway", this means if your subscription was over, you could still receive these ones (a small part of the package) if the smartcard was inserted. Lately they removed the scrambling so I could receive without the card also, but if card was present, descrambling took place (I guess so, I could see this in combination with an unsupported plugin). I guess these channels are listed as scrambled (red) in TVServer.

I am not sure if my explanation is correct but that is my experience sofar, and I think that you are right that this must be some provblem with the scrambled tag of the stream. I will test the attachment later at home and report.

    big thanx!

Yes, these channels seem to share some streams. That's why I wanted to confirm. :)
To take M1 HD as an example: the video, teletext and one audio stream (language "hun") are shared between "M1 HD" and "M1 HD (Europa)". There is one scrambled audio stream (language "mul"). I guess the providers have an agreement to share streams (=> costs saved and/or more room for other channels).
